Acne Care Manualadult acne basics

How should you patch test a new acne product?

Patch testing a small area first can help reveal irritation before wider use. Follow the label, add one product at a time, and stop for persistent burning, swelling, blistering, or hives.

Change one thing at a time

Keep the rest of the routine stable, follow the current label, and note timing and symptoms so benefit or irritation is easier to identify.

Stop signs

Stop for persistent burning, swelling, blistering, hives, or worsening symptoms. Seek urgent help for breathing trouble or severe swelling.
